CAREER GUIDANCE CELL

Sir Gurudas Mahavidyalaya’s Career Counselling Cell plays a crucial role in guiding students toward their future career paths. Here are the activities the cell is engaged in throughout the year:

  1. To Career Counselling Seminars/Workshops: These sessions focus on career prospects in higher studies and jobs, both in government and private sectors.
  2. Add-on Course on Communicative English: These workshops help students develop their communication and soft skills.
  3. Personal Career Counselling: Each department’s professor provides subject-specific career guidance to students.
  4. Campus Selection Programs: College forward various company opening and ask and arrange on campus selection programs for job.

  • Academic Advice – Standing practices of teachers to provide academic advice at the classroom and at the individual level.
  • Psychological counseling – is provided occasionally by expert counselors and also by teachers.
  • Mentoring – mentor-mentee relationships exist between teachers and students.
  • Training and Skill Development:-
    • A number of students benefitted from the Mobile repairing course conducted by AVJ Infotech Pvt. Ltd. – 18 (eighteen).
    • Number of students benefitted in Computer Hardware and Networking –
      • 2012-2013 – 25 students.
      • 2013-2014 – 30 students
      • 2015-2016 – 40 students

      Apprenticeship:  Board of Practical Training, Eastern Region is an organization under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India. The primary objective of this Board is to implement National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended from time to time pertaining to the training of freshly qualified engineering graduates, diploma holders in engineering/technology in some identified subject-fields as approved by the Central Apprenticeship Council, Govt. of India from time to time; as well as for the Graduates in General Streams such as B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., etc. Approximately 55 Students appeared on the said program. Date: 17.4.2023
    •  IPAC: IPAC ( Indian Political Action Committee ) Organizes a Campus drive for the post of Junior  Researcher and out of 54 applicants 32 applicants were selected.  Date: 29.4.2023 
    • TCS: A total of 5 students applied and guided them for further achievement.
    • Marble Box: Marble Box BPO-based service providers offer opportunities for  B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc. students, and  6 Students were selected out of 65 appeared applicants. Date: 27.1.2022
